yesterday was a public holiday here in austria and so we got to enjoy a long three day weekend. we spent time relaxing (we watched three movies.... two staring ryan gosling. we saw half nelson. i thought gosling's performance was fantastic. fracture which is an entertaining crime drama. and we watched the apartment for the first time which i loved!). we ate ice cream, lunched at our local café, cooked a new recipe of pot roasted chicken with lemon and ginger (was tasty!), and took our first mini road trip out of vienna with friends and enjoyed a lovely picnic. yesterday i helped a friend paint her old apartment. its been a long time since i've done any painting. it was fun!
