a fun night out with work colleagues and seeing england beat sweden (sorry mimie!)
discovering a forbidden pathway
watching lots and lots of football (i haven't missed a match in the euro 2012 yet!)
a sunday visit to a flea market (no purchases though. i'm always too shy to ask how much things are)
reading and relaxing in the park
delicious beer battered fish and chunky chips at o'connors (seriously good)
pink skies
may I ask which flea market? I'm curious to visit one here in Vienna :)
ReplyDeleteof course! there was a flohmarkt at esterhazypark on sunday (17th june) but i don't know how often it is there.

DeleteHello! I just found your blog and wanted to say, hello! I moved 3 months ago from the US to Germany and I always get really excited when I find another expat blogger :) I am hoping to make it to Vienna in a couple weeks for the weekend!

hi bailey! thanks so much for your comment. i love your blog! it looks like you are having a lot of fun in germany :)
DeleteHi Kerry, I am also new at your blog. I am courious about your German learning as I also plan to come and live in Vienna in a few months and have no clue how long does it take to learn basics and being able to keep a conversation in everyday average level.... What are your experiences so far with learning German? Wish you a nice & warm week in a City and keep up with nice postings! Natasa
ReplyDeletehi there! hmmm.... good question! unfortunately my german is still not very good. there are lots of course options here and you can pick up the basics fairly quickly. it really depends on how much time you have to dedicate to learning (which was mostly my problem. i have no discipline when it comes to sitting down and studying at home!). if you have time to take an intensive course then you would be able to learn much quicker. i hope all goes well. good luck!
Deletethat pic witht the sheep - funny!
ReplyDeleteand , oh my, all the food pics. i´m sooo hungry now! :-)
i know! there were sheep living in amongst the vines.
DeleteKerry, I adore your photos but they make me SO nostalgic for Vienna! That final shot of the pink skies really tugs at my heart. I feel like I'm living my Viennese life vicariously through you :) (also a huge fan of the Arena, had some great nights there) x
ReplyDeleteahhh, i'm glad you get to enjoy some glimpses of vienna! (even if it does make you very nostalgic!) x
